LIE is pleased to present the inaugural Kuala Lumpur Art Book Fair (KLABF) this December. Held at The Godown KL, KLABF is a catalyst event that showcases and celebrates the printed medium community, while also bringing together the local creative arts scene at large. The event is participated by more than 30 local exhibitors including artists, designers, printmakers, zinemakers, publishers and gallery.

SEARCH Vol.1: Independence (ISBN:978-967-2637-80-6) is an independent graphic magazine that seeks to uncover and investigate the designs, subcultures, and changemakers that are reshaping the creative landscape of Southeast Asia. Every issue takes a single theme and explores it from a design point of view, with a focus on local and regional perspectives. It aims to offer alternate perspectives and narratives about design across Southeast Asia.

Established since year 1980, Lucky King Bun has been well-loved by the local community and overseas foodies who enjoy rich Nanyang flavour. Known for its signature curry chicken bun that are made fresh daily, the curry is cooked with 20 different spices and fresh ingredients without preservatives that creates a fragrant dish.

Inspired by the good luck symbols and cultural superstitions from around the world, this project induces graphic design to produce fukubukuro mystery bags, ang pow packets, postcards, and other lucky charms.

KENYALANG CIRCUS

With a collection of cultural arts selectively curated from Sarawak, the designer turns a plain pillar into a collage display of tribal wonders, taking visitors on a visual feast to discover the untold folk art and exotic snacks from Borneo.

Participated in 'Homework: Japan' exhibition organized by Dasein Academy Creative Department. It showcases artworks by second year illustration students from Osaka Designers' College (ODC), and the works by Dasein Creative Department as a display collaboration.

Discomfort Zone

This collage piece is a recollection of Japanese lessons by deconstructing the characters, words and cartoon from homework assignments. The aim is to create a collage that depicts spontaneous and playful attitude in the process of creating, with a disregard of getting an accurate and perfect outcome, but rather not to worry about legibility or making a mess.

What is "rare luxury" to you?

The other side of elegance.

The outline of the bottle impressed me. And the lines struck me first. When you're given an object, often times you would look at the details, what's inside, the colors and etc. And you can look at the details from different angles but somehow, intuitively my mind was captivated by the outline or the silhouettes and that is what I wanted to express.
